Chengdu Children's Channel (CDTV-6) produces and broadcasts various kinds of programs for children and families, and regularly organizes intellectual activities that interact with audiences. It is full of dynamic and colorful. There are four self-run columns, 120 minutes a day from Monday to Thursday and 90 minutes a day from Friday to Sunday.

CDTV-6 Children's Channel of Chengdu Radio and Television Station was founded in accordance with the spirit of relevant documents of the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television and the Provincial Radio, Film and Television Bureau, as well as the relevant requirements of the Chengdu Municipal Committee and the Municipal Government.

The Children's Channel Preparatory Group of Chengdu Radio and Television Station was set up in November 2004, and began to transmit pilot signals on February 1, 2005. It was officially launched on June 1, 2005. Chengdu Radio and Television Children's Channel is one of the six existing channels of Chengdu Television Station. It is officially called "Chengdu Television Children's Channel" and numbered "CDTV-6". Under the leadership of Chengdu Radio and Television Bureau (Chengdu Radio and Television Station), it adopts the same operation system and mechanism as other channels of Chengdu Television Station.
