Hulunbuir News Comprehensive Channel was founded on November 20, 1973. It is one of the earliest TV stations in ethnic minority areas in China.

In 2001, the former Hailar Television Station and Hulunbeir Cable Television Station merged into Hulunbeir Television Station, and became the only regional TV station in Hulunbeir City, and also the largest TV broadcasting agency in Hulunbeir City.
