Qinhuangdao Television Station prepared on January 24, 1985, and began its pilot broadcast on February 20, 1985. In September 1991, with the approval of Hebei Provincial Radio and Television Bureau, the trial broadcasting was changed to formal broadcasting. Qinhuangdao Cable Television Station was founded in October 1992 and officially launched on August 6, 1993. In August 1998, Qinhuangdao TV and Qinhuangdao Cable TV were merged, calling for Qinhuangdao TV.
