Ningxia Television or NXTV is a television station located in Ningxia, China. It began broadcasting on October 1, 1970. Located in Yinchuan, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, the upper reaches of the Yellow River, Ningxia Satellite TV is one of the thirty provincial-level TV stations in China. She was founded on October 1, 1970, officially aired on January 1, 1971, and began broadcasting color TV programs in 1980. On September 9, 1998, the satellite channel of Ningxia Satellite TV was officially broadcast. On April 1, 2003, Ningxia Satellite TV (wireless) and Ningxia Cable TV implemented the merger. After the merger, Ningxia Satellite TV set up four channels of Ningxia News Integration (satellite TV), Ningxia Public, Ningxia Economic Life and Ningxia Film and TV. Among them, Ningxia Satellite TV (News Integrated Channel) covers the whole country and Southeast Asia and South Asia through the Asia-Pacific IA satellite, and has now landed in Shanghai, Fujian, Hunan, Hubei, Shanxi, Gansu, Sichuan, Inner Mongolia, Hainan and other provinces. According to CCTV Sofori 2002 statistics, Ningxia Satellite TV covers 100 million people, the comprehensive popularity index in the country's 14th. 宁夏卫视自办的四个频道全天播出74小时，其中自制节目12小时，开办有新闻、经济、社教、少儿、文艺、纪录片、综艺、电视剧等类节目，自办栏目16个。近年来，宁夏卫视牢固树立精品意识，节目质量不断提高。先后有电视剧《喊叫水》、《公家人》，电视文艺晚会《花儿正飞向新世纪》、电视专题片《中南海连着西海固》、《塞上江南、再放异彩》、电视纪录片《跨越时空的文明》等50多部作品获飞天奖、星光奖、中国电视奖、金童奖、骏马奖、五个一工程奖等奖项。宁夏卫视注重交流与合作。1994年，宁夏电视台同日本岛根山阴放送建立友好台局关系。2001—2002年，宁夏卫视先后成功地在美国、日本举办了“宁夏电视周”，宁夏卫视于2000年1月1日开通了宁夏电视台国际互联网站，成为西北省级电视台中第一家电视节目在网上实现视频播出的媒体。
