CCTV Old Stories 📺️

CCTV's old story channel is a nationwide pay channel for digital television, run by CCTV's Central News Film Studio. It is also the only television channel to be broadcast to the whole country through the central digital platform, focusing on historical documentaries. The channel is based on "national images," and is based on the 500,000-minute historical films collected by the central newsreel studio. Integrated with domestic and foreign historical research materials and production resources, dedicated to create a "national image archives" as the goal of a professional history channel.

The channel was tried on August 8, 2005 and officially aired on April 16, 2006. After the broadcast, because of its thick historical theme and great patriotism spirit, was praised by the audience as "red channel."
